Finance planning and analytics

A monthly forecast cycle on a hand-maintained template becomes a repeatable, reconciled upload.

Source data is mapped and calculated deterministically, then reconciled against a reference. A read-only AI lane diagnoses exceptions; it does not calculate the financial result. Schematic workflow, not a product screenshot.
Schematic workflow of Forecast Automation, not a product screenshot or a measured result.

Context

Finance planning and analytics covers the monthly forecast cycle, month-end reporting, forecast-accuracy scoring and the balanced scorecards that leadership reads. Every output ties out to an independent reference, the financial calculations stay deterministic, and AI only explains exceptions or answers opt-in questions over aggregates.

My role

Chose the declarative mapping contract, wrote the platform specification and governed the AI-assisted build, with reconciliation results as the acceptance criterion.

Forecast Automation

Reconciled finance planning with AI used as a constrained diagnostician rather than a source of financial truth.

AI role AI explains. It cannot change a number.

Supporting work

  • Month-end reporting automation

Manual spreadsheets replaced by automated, governed reporting.

  • Forecast accuracy analytics with a gated Ask-AI panel

Deterministic bias and error scoring with month-end locks, plus one opt-in model question that sends aggregates only, behind identity and configuration gates.

  • Balanced scorecard matrices

Interactive scorecards support shared review of business performance.
